News of this comes Foo Fighters shared a snippet of new songs, which would indicate that a new album is in the works, which would be a follow up to 'But Here We Are', which was released by the band in 2023.
This comes after the band updated their official website, turning it into an interactive page, featuring snippets of new material.
This new homepage will make fans feel like they are visiting a music-lover's bedroom with a guitar in the corner, dirty clothes on the floor, photographs and stacks of CDS, as well as posters of Foo Fighters.
Each photo will feature a 10 second clip of a currently unreleased song, with as many as 11 such tracks made available to the website at the time of writing. More on this from Nova here.
Earlier this month, former Foo Fighters drummer, Josh Freese spoke about his exit from the band last year.
In a recent interview, Freese said that he has "got to be careful" about what information he shares.
"The Foo Fighters are such a big, mainstream band that everything I say gets taken out of context, reposted, and blown out of proportion," Freese stated. "People created headlines from one quick, simple comment I made on a podcast not long ago, it's crazy. I've got to be careful about what I say about it. But I've got a lot to say about it and I've been just trying to figure out how and when, to go about really articulating it".
"I have a couple small theories [as to why I was let go]," he continues, "but I can't really go into them right now. I did really enjoy the two years I spent with those guys however, and they were good to me… until they weren't".
