BluesFest is returning to Dublin this year and seriously, you won’t actually believe the line-up because it’s insane.
Organisers have revealed that two superstar acts have been added to the bill with former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant and visionary singer-songwriter Van Morrison both confirmed for the 3Arena gig!
Both Plant and Morrison will be taking to the stage on Sunday, October 28th joining other confirmed artists on the line-up such as John Fogerty who will perform a Creedence Clearwater Revival greatest hits set with special guests Steve Miller Band on Friday, October 26th.
Plant had originally appeared at BluesFest London as a special guest for Bill Wyman’s 80th birthday show in 2016 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll frontmen of all time and will bring his Sensational Space Shifters to Dublin to perform classic Led Zepp material alongside tracks from his acclaimed solo projects.
While Van The Man will be bringing his career-spanning set that will include music from his new studio album ‘You’re Driving Me Crazy‘ which is due to be released next month.
Plant commented: “It’s been way over 50 years since I first shared the stage with Van Morrison; and his band were positioned No.2 on the charts with ‘Here Comes The Night‘. His style then and now remains unique and loaded with deep soul. I’m looking forward to an exciting and dynamic night.”
