Lemmy’s favourite combination of Jack Daniels & Coke has been renamed “The Lemmy” in honour of the Motorhead frontman. Food & Beverage Magazine have renamed the drink in honour of him.

He used to drink a Jack & Coke on Sunset Strip at the Rainbow Bar And Grill. He would be often found having a drink and playing his favourite video game at the bar.

Speaking about the christening of the drink, the publisher of Food & Beverage magazine Michael Politz said “We are honored to represent the industry and bring the moniker The Lemmy to every bar in the world!”

Politz continued saying “Owning a rock club with Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Alice in Chain’s Jerry Cantrell gave me the chance to meet Lemmy and experience his legend myself.”

The Motorhead man celebrated his 70th birthday on Christmas Eve but he was later informed that he had a very aggressive form of cancer. Lemmy died shortly after on December 28th with the rock world mourning the loss of a true icon.

Even though the man was synonymous with the Jack & Coke, back in August in an interview with The Guardian he said he had to switch to Vodka & Orange for health reasons. Despite this though, “The Lemmy” is a fitting tribute as his favourite drink is now named in his honour.
