It was recently announced that the funeral of Motorhead legend Lemmy will be streamed on You Tube for everyone to see. The funeral will take place this weekend on Saturday January 9th.
The funeral will take place in Hollywood, California at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The band have asked fans not to attend so the service will only be family and close friends. The live stream of the funeral is to accommodate those fans.
The Motorhead official You tube channel has put up the steam on their channel and it will be available on the day of funeral. The stream will run from 3pm PST to 4.30pm PST which is 11pm GMT to 12.30am GMT.
A statement from the band about the funeral read “We want you ALL to be a part of this memorial service,” adding “So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends. GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.”
After the funeral there will be a day long celebration at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles, which was Lemmy’s favorite bar where he used to drink and play his favourite video game.
