Noel Gallagher has unveiled a new EP called ‘Black Star Dancing’ and shared the title track from the release. The tune is streaming in full below.
This new drop is his first since 2017’s ‘Who Built The Moon’. The EP’s lead release sees Noel mixing his sonic palette with a smorgasbord of influences.
In a statement via the NME, Noel said that the song:
“manages to combine the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep AND ZZ Top FFS!,”
In fact, the former Oasis guitarist went so far as to claim his track is ‘Dope’:
“I might have been watching too much Top Of The Pops recently … anyway, it’s ‘dope’ … not my words, but the words of Nile Rodgers who literally danced in the studio when he heard it!”
Earlier this week, Nova reported that Gallagher had shared a Tweet that seemed to tease new music. The Tweet read: “Nature is dancing but we ain’t done yet” which is lyrics taken from the new track. Black Star Dancing will see a physical release on the 14th of June.
