Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Set For All-Star One-Off Covers Show

Kirk Hammett and Rob Trujillo from Metallica are set to play as part of an all-star cover group named “The Wedding Band” on July 26th.

That’s at the Cosmopolitan Music Hall in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. The show is part of the “It’s Alive!” exhibition at the Royal Ontario Museum.

The event will feature items from Kirk Hammett’s private collection of horror and sci-fi memorabilia.

The Wedding Band is lead by Whitfield Crane of Ugly Kid Joe and drummer Joey Castillo ex QOSA will treat the crowd to “classic covers from bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and more.”

CoS reports that the gig is set to be an intimate one, with the rockers performing 45 minutes of covers to a 200 capacity crowd.
