Michael McIntyre has been forced to cancel a gig on his world tour, due to undergoing a medical procedure.
The British comedian was due to perform at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre this evening, as part of his Macnificent world tour.
This is the second gig that McIntyre has been forced to cancel, having cancelled a show in Plymouth last week.
“very sorry”
Yesterday, McIntyre’s social media account confirmed that he was “unable to perform” his show at Southampton on Monday.
“Unfortunately, Michael has had an operation to remove kidney stones,” read the post on X.
“The show is due to be rescheduled, with those unable to make the new date entitled to a refund”, it revealed. “We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused”.

Last week, Michael McIntyre also confirmed that he was unable to perform in Plymouth, due to “illness”.
“The show will be rescheduled to a later date to be announced soon. If you are unable to make the new date you will be entitled to a refund. We are sorry for any inconvenience”, a post read.
McIntyre was also forced to call off three nights at the Motorpoint in Nottingham from Friday to Sunday.
The comedian is due to perform in Newcastle, and Manchester, as well as London, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Belfast later this year.
