Back in the day, the press had a field day when Mick Jagger turned 30.
Four decades later, The Mirror is reporting that the Rolling Stones’ frontman will soon become a great-grandfather through his daughter Jade Jagger.
The baby is 21-year-old granddaughter Assisi Jackson‘s first child with her boyfriend of a year, Alex, who is a chef. A source told The Daily Mail, “Mick is delighted and has no qualms about being a great grandfather. He’s been joking about becoming a great, great, grandad and still performing!” 42-year-old Jade is Mick’s second daughter and only child from first wife Bianca, whom he was married to from 1971 to 1980.
Jagger has a total of seven children from four different relationships; daughter Karis, 43 is his firstborn with actress/singer Marsha Hunt; Jade with Bianca Jagger; Elizabeth, 29, James, 28, Georgia, 21, and Gabriel, 16 with second wife, model Jerry Hall, and Lucas, 14, from his relationship with model and TV personality Luciana Gimenez.
Mick Jagger says that passing along life lessons is the key role of being a parent: “Parenthood, y’know, all you do is pass on your experiences to them. I mean, you don’t always say them from real life. Y’know, you can use examples (laughs). That’s what it’s, that’s what you do with children all the time.
