Looking for something to do during the festivities or just need to get out of the house for an hour or two?

Good – because we have the perfect adventure station for you!

We took a visit to EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum here at Nova towers and we have to say it was way too much fun.

EPIC has recently been nominated for the European Museum of the Year Award for 2018 and we can totally see why.

Located in the heart of the city, in the CHQ buildings, it is one of the most interactive museums we have ever come across, often not feeling like a museum tour at all.

EPIC, Need An ‘EPIC’ Day Out? Look No Further…

From taking in the history of Irish emigration to exploring the most prominent Irish people in the world, you’ll discover a world you didn’t know existed.

The Pogues, The Clancy Brothers, Phil Lynott and our favourite Gallagher brothers all feature, as no stone is left unturned.

And when you catch a glimpse of the comedy studio alongside the actors quarters you’ll be in a complete and utter trance with it’s magnificence.

There’s so much to be gained from a visit, with the music and sporting areas a top highlight for us and chances of the kids wanting to leave are slim as they stamp their museum ‘passport’ with each stop.

And the best news of all? Kids go free at EPIC from Wednesday, December 27th 2017 to January 8th 2018!

Make the trip – trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

Ciar Spain keeps you up to date with all things news, sport and entertainment. When I'm not at my desk you'll find me hiding behind a lens, a book or attending GAA games across the country. If not, I'll be busy complaining about the weather! Also – I’m a festival lover, so when the summers out I spend most of my time nestled in the sweaty trench of any concert hall that will let me in the doors... Standard and basic – enjoy :)
