Is Bob Dylan planning on blowing off his lesbian daughter’s wedding???
The New York Daily News reported in its gossip pages that Dylan’s long-secret daughter, Desiree Dennis-Dylan, will be marrying her girlfriend Kayla Sampson next August.
Desiree, who’s now a locally based L.A. musician, was born in 1986 and was the product of Dylan’s secret six-year marriage to noted African-American background singer Carolyn Dennis, from 1986 to 1992. Fans first read of Desiree’s existence — and Dylan’s second marriage — in Howard Sounes‘ groundbreaking 2001 Dylan biography, Down The Highway: The Life Of Bob Dylan.
Kayla Sampson’s mother, Jolene Sampson, told the paper that Dylan will not be walking his now 27-year-old daughter down the aisle at her wedding to be held in Mira Loma, California: “Of course he’s invited, but he’s just not going to go. He didn’t say that, but that’s what we are assuming. It would be sad (if he skips the nuptials), but he is really supportive and happy for her.”
