Paul McCartney reportedly played 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' for the first time since 1964 at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.

Swift and Kelce are officially married, and the pair celebrated their wedding at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday night (July 3rd).

Several sources have confirmed that the big event to celebrate the pair's marriage included performances from McCartney and Stevie Nicks.

According to People, McCartney performed the classic song,  ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ in what is believed to be the first performance of the song in 60 years.

Swift and McCartney often speak fondly of one another, as last month the 'Love Story' singer praise McCartney's new album on Instagram. She said in the post that she is "never not inspired by this eternally exceptional artist."

McCartney compared Swift's fame to Beatlemania, according to NME. “You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame. The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don’t think she needs any advice to tell you the truth," McCartney said.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in an Instagram post last August. Swift wrote: "your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," along with a carousel of photos of the pair.

According to a statement from Swift's longtime publicist, Tree Paine, the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen at their wedding. Swift's brother Austin was her 'Man of Honour' and Kelce's brother Jason was his Best Man.

After the pair were married, a screen outside of Madison Square Garden read "JUST&T MARRIED!".

According to a report in RTE, the ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler. He has spoken about his friendship with Swift on many occasions. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Sandler said that "Taylor's so damn nice to my family and has always been."

"She's ridiculously nice to them and warm, and Travis is such a gentle, nice guy. Funny as hell. He's like the guys I grew up with," he continued.

Over a thousand people were in attendance, including a number of famous guests. Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper and Lena Dunham were in attendance of the historical wedding.

A number of members from the music industry were among guests at Madison Square Garden. Sombr, Ellie Goulding, Camila Cabello, Machine Gun Kelly, and Benson Boone were all in attendance.

There hasn't been any photos of Swift's dress released, however a spokesperson for the singer revealed that she wore Dior. "The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture.
