Paul McCartney has shared his "must see spots" for anyone who is seeking to visit Liverpool.
This comes after the Beatles star, a Merseyside native, announced his first new album in five years, 'The Boys Of Dungeon Lane'.
The album which arrives on May 29, has been called McCartney's “most introspective album to date”, as he reveals memories that he’s never shared before from his formative years in Liverpool, and find him “in a candid, vulnerable and deeply reflective mood, writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool”.
The music icon has previewed this album with the single ‘Days We Left Behind’, where he reflects on his pre fame days of "smoky bars and cheap guitars" in his native Liverpool.
Now, Paul McCartney has taken to his website to share certain areas that carry a lot of personal sentiment for him in Liverpool, and places that he would recommend any tourists to visit.
The first place named on the list by McCartney was “Forthlin Road, the house I ended up”, as well as the “Liverpool Institute, which is now LIPA”.
McCartney added: “I show them the site of the first gig we ever played, called the Wilson Hall in Garston. And then I show them everything in between. Where John’s mum used to live, where John used to live, where George used to live, and where Ringo lived".

Over the weekend, McCartney played the second of his back-to-back shows at the Fonda Theatre. Following this gig, McCartney reactivated a largely inactive Reddit account to share images from his live show, offering fans the chance to share their memories from the night.
“Hope you enjoyed the show last night. As last night was a phone-free experience we wanted to make sure you had some memories from the show to share with friends, family and loved ones", McCartney added.
