The annual parade took place on Tuesday, February 17th in New Orleans Louisiana with this years parade seeing over 200 people dressed as the late Prince of Darkness.

“We may not be the 610 Stompers, but we bring the energy, the moves, and a little whiskey to keep the party going. Rock in peace, dance in style!” the dance crew wrote in a statement to Facebook.
Stephen Rea, a friend to Ozzy, was among those in the parade. Rea told BBC radio ahead of the event that "there was only ever going to be one choice this year, the greatest rock singer the world's ever seen."
The Black Sabbath singer passed away at ages 76 on July 22nd 2025, just weeks after playing at their legendary 'Back To Beginning' show in Birmingham. Rea added that some of the Osbourne family was in attendance for the Mardi Gras parade and mentioned that he "would love to get everybody across for Ozzy's celebration in July in Birmingham, with the one-year anniversary, I think there are plans for that."
Rea is the author of the book titled 'Ozzy and Me', which tells the story of their decades long friendship, and what he describes as 'wild times'.
In other news, Sharon revealed that she is in talks of bringing back OzzFest. The event first formed in 1996 and spanned across two days, the following year saw it develop into a fully fleged tour and continued every year up until 2018. Sharon confessed in an interview with Billboard that she has been "in talks with Live Nation" to bring OzzFest back.
“It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people, we really started metal festivals in this country. It was [replicated but] never done with the spirit of what ours was, because ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids," she said.
Although she stated that nothing has been set in stone, the festival could return as early as 2027.
