Dundalk Stabbing Leaves One Dead And Two Injured

Gardaí are investigating a fatal stabbing incident which has taken place in Dundalk, County Louth this morning.

The attack occurred just before 9am on January 3rd, whereby a man has been pronounced dead at the scene.

A further two people were injured in the incident, however, the extent of their injuries is unknown at present.

While another male has been arrested by Gardaí who are currently preserving three scenes awaiting a technical examination on Avenue Road, Inner Relief Road and Seatown.

The man is being detained in Dundalk Garda Station and can be held for up to 24 hours, as Gardaí appeal for witnesses to contact them on 042 938 8400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
