Gardai believe a man, injured following the discovery of a woman’s body in South Dublin, is her estranged husband.

The remains of Joanne Lee were found wrapped in a sleeping bag in a wardrobe in Ranelagh yesterday.

Joanne Lee also known as Joanne Boyle was last seen at her parent’s home in Garristown in Meath on the 5th of February.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old was reported missing and then yesterday her body was found here at an apartment in Ranelagh after her car was spotted outside.

A man was also found at the scene with injuries consistent with falling from a height – and gardaí believe this man is Joanne’s estranged husband.

He is being treated in hospital for his injuries which are serious but not critical.

A post-mortem is being carried out on Joanne’s body this afternoon and gardaí say this will determine the course of their investigation.
