The Simpsons has officially retired one of its most iconic characters after nearly three decades on the air.

The beloved Duff Beer mascot Duffman made his final appearance in the Season 37 episode titled 'Seperance,' a parody of the Apple TV+ series Severance.

Known for his superhero costume, red cape, and signature catchphrase 'Oh yeah!', Duffman has been a fan favorite since his debut in 1997's 'The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson.'

In the episode, Barry Duffman, the character behind the mascot, visits the Simpsons' home to announce the retirement of the Duff Beer spokesperson.

Speaking directly to the family—and the audience—he explains that the company has decided to move away from traditional advertising methods, including corporate mascots, to keep up with modern trends.

This marks the end of an era for the long-running animated series, which has faced criticism in recent years for its handling of legacy characters.

Duffman’s retirement follows the recent departure of other minor characters, sparking mixed reactions from fans. While some lament the loss of nostalgia, others question the show's longevity as its lead characters' voices continue to age.

Duffman’s final storyline also sees him attempting to recruit Homer into a mysterious corporation before ultimately stepping away from his superhero persona for good.
