The Strokes have released their new single, 'Going Shopping', ahead of the release of their upcoming album, 'Reality Awaits'.
The band have been teasing this new music since last week, having said that they would "be in touch", revealing that their new album would be released this Summer.
In keeping with their messaging featuring nostalgic retro graphics, the band also shared their new single, 'Going Shopping' on cassette, which left fans sharing bootlegs online, prior to the band debuting the song live in San Francisco.
Now, The Strokes have shared this new single on streaming services, 'Going Shopping', their first new music since they shared, 'The New Abnormal' in 2020, and album which was created by US artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. More on this from Nova here.
The single sees lead singer Julian Casablancas offer that he is “goin’ out my mind, throwin’ all my plans out the window“.
