Thin Lizzy’s second album ‘Shades Of A Blue Orphanage’ is to get a very special Vinyl release, it has been confirmed.

52 years on from its original release, Decca records have confirmed that a gatefold vinyl of the album will arrive next month (April 5).

This vinyl release will also include a very special art card signed by original Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell.

While it does not feature any official classic hits from the band, the album does include the single ‘Sarah’, which was written for Phil Lynott’s grandmother who raised him, when his mother Philomena was unable to do so.

This song, which has become the album’s standout tune, is not to be confused with Lynott’s 1979 hit of the same name, which he wrote for his new-born daughter.

You can pre order this album here.
