Over the St Brigid’s Bank Holiday Weekend, we played music from Thin Lizzy, Queen and The Boss Bruce Springsteen, leaving the vote up to you, our listeners to decide, who is the G.O.A.T.
Well, you have voted and have been heard, with Thin Lizzy getting the nod with 37% of the vote, finishing just a hare’s breath ahead of Queen who had 36% of the vote, with Bruce Springsteen finishing with 27%.

Last year saw the band which were led by the late Phil Lynott, voted the best Irish act by the Nova listeners, who also chose Queen as favourite rock royalty ahead of the coronation of King Charles III.
Marking 4th of July last year, Bruce Springsteen was crowned the best U.S in the All-American Rock Referendum.

Thin Lizzy Mark Album Anniversary In Special Way
Last December, Thin Lizzy also celebrated the 50th anniversary of their album ‘Vagabounds Of The Western World’, with a special global listening event, via YouTube.
This album has also been considered the band’s breakthrough release. It also includes hits like Whiskey In The Jar, and The Rocker.
