To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their album, ‘Vagabounds Of The Western World’, Thin Lizzy will host a global listening event.

This event will be streamed via the band’s official YouTube channel, and takes place Thursday (December 14) at 7pm.

Arriving in 1972, ‘Vagabounds Of The Western World’ has been considered by many to be Thin Lizzy’s breakthrough album, containing hits such as ‘The Rocker’ and ‘Whiskey In The Jar’.

In fact, ‘The Rocker’ was the last song that the band ever performed in 1983.

Thin Lizzy Add Special ‘chat along’ Event

Among the highlights of this event, original Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell will also join the fan ‘chat along’ in the YouTube page’s comments.

This will allow the fans the chance to chat with Bell live during the Q&A, or watch back on a later date.

‘Vagabonds Of The Western World’ was also the last album that Bell featured on for the band.

Elsewhere, the listening event will also feature artist Jim Fitzpatrick, who created many classic Thin Lizzy sleeves, as well as the iconic Che Guevara poster from the 1970s.

Other names featuring at the event also include Skid Row’s Brush Shields, mix engineer Richard Whittaker, Pete Holodai from the Radiators From Space, while Jerry Ewing editor of Prog Magazine, and broadcaster Roddie Cleere will also feature.

Earlier this year, Thin Lizzy also announced a special 50th anniversary reissue for this album. More on this from Nova here.
