The band are storming across Europe on their ‘Worldwired’ global tour and played a show at Fornebu’s Telenor Arena in Norway last Wednesday night, May 2nd. Fan footage of the moment is below…

During the show, skinner Lars Ulrich and lead singer James Hetfield exited the stage, leaving bass player Robert Trujillo and legendary guitarist Kirk Hammett to make a pot of rock jam. To date on the tour, the pair have been covering songs as a tribute to the city they are playing a gig in each night.

Trujillo said to the crowd before playing the cover. ‘Try and guess what this is and, if you know it, sing it. Remember, this is fun – it’s a party! After playing a burst of ‘Take On Me’, the pair then performed part of Metallica’s own ‘(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth’.

The European leg of the ‘Worldwired’ tour will end next week on May 11th in Helsinki. The band will then resume touring in State side from September and continue into next year.
