Florence Welch joined The Rolling Stones during their epic gig at the London Stadium, May 25th, to sing on ‘Wild Horses’. A video of the performance is available below…
Welch has performed with the Rolling Stones once before, in November 2012 when she joined the die hard rockers onstage at London’s O2 Arena to sing the Stones’ classic: ‘Gimme Shelter‘.
Florence + The Machine were support for the Stones earlier in the night on Friday. Liam Gallagher had opened the previous London show on Tuesday of last week. When Florence took the stage later to perform with the Stones, she performed an impassioned duet with Mick Jagger on ‘Wild Horses‘.
The two singers swapped verses, shared choruses and maintained a connection with each other on stage. As they held hands it appeared like a genuinely intimate moment in front of thousands of delighted fans in the audience.
