Fans of Sir David Jason are being offered the chance to share a special moment with the Only Fools and Horses legend — but the meet-and-greet experience comes with a price tag of up to £450.

The 86-year-old actor, best known for playing the much-loved character Del Boy Trotter in the classic BBC sitcom, is the headline guest at the show’s annual convention taking place in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, this November.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Jason and have their photograph taken inside a replica of the famous Trotters’ flat, recreating one of the most recognisable settings from the long-running comedy.

However, fans hoping for a personal meeting with the television icon will need to pay extra on top of the convention admission fee.

A standard ticket for the event costs £100 per day, while the official meet-and-greet packages start at an additional £250. The most expensive option, which includes a front-row seat for Jason’s on-stage talk, costs £450 per person.

The organisers, who have hosted the Only Fools and Horses convention since 2020, confirmed that Jason will return in person to meet fans alongside other actors from the beloved sitcom.

They said: “Sir David Jason is returning once again in person to meet his fans, along with other star guests who have appeared on our screens as part of our beloved Only Fools & Horses.”

There will, however, be strict rules surrounding the meeting due to time restrictions.

Organisers have confirmed that Jason will not be signing autographs during the weekend, with fans told that the limited time available will instead be dedicated to photographs.

They also warned attendees that gifts would not be accepted.

"We kindly request no gifts are to be given to Sir David Jason as this will take up all of the allocated time for your photo," organisers said.

Fans who do not purchase an official meet-and-greet package have also been told that Jason will not be available for informal selfies during the event.

Despite the cost and restrictions, the convention is expected to attract fans of Only Fools and Horses, which remains one of Britain’s most popular sitcoms more than three decades after first airing.

The series, which followed the adventures of market trader Del Boy and his younger brother Rodney Trotter, ran from 1981 until 2003 and has remained a staple of British television culture.
