A brand-new trailer has dropped for Crime 101, a highly anticipated crime thriller set to hit cinemas worldwide on February 13, 2026, starring Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan and Mark Ruffalo. The first footage gives audiences a hard-edged, sun-bleached look at what promises to be one of the year’s standout heist films.
Directed and written by Bart Layton — known for American Animals and The Imposter — Crime 101 is adapted from the acclaimed 2020 novella of the same name by Don Winslow. The film revolves around an elusive jewel thief whose meticulously executed robberies along Los Angeles’s iconic 101 Freeway have mystified law enforcement, until now.
In the trailer, Hemsworth plays Mike Davis, a master thief aiming for one final, high-stakes score. His path soon crosses with Sharon, portrayed by Halle Berry, a disillusioned insurance broker who is drawn into Davis’s world as the plan escalates beyond anything she could have imagined.
The cat-and-mouse energy is ramped up by Mark Ruffalo’s character, Detective Lou Lubesnick, who is relentless in his pursuit and believes he has finally cracked the pattern behind the series of high-profile crimes. As the multimillion-dollar heist draws nearer, tensions soar and the line between hunter and hunted becomes increasingly blurred — with all parties confronting the consequences of their choices.
Barry Keoghan appears as Ormon, a volatile figure whose presence adds an unpredictable edge to the criminal underworld at the heart of the story. The supporting cast also includes Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte and Tate Donovan, rounding out a stacked ensemble.
Crime 101 is a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios, Working Title Films, Raw TV and The Story Factory, with Hemsworth also serving as one of the film’s producers. The project was the subject of an early bidding war between Amazon and Netflix before Amazon secured the rights, and filming took place in Los Angeles — fittingly capturing the city’s sun-drenched highways and gritty urban landscape.
The official trailer underscores the movie’s blend of tense action, stylish cinematography and character-driven drama, combining high-octane chases along California freeways with intense interpersonal confrontations. With its mix of big names and sharp thrills, Crime 101 looks poised to be one of the early highlights of the 2026 film slate.
Crime 101 will be released exclusively in theatres and IMAX on 13 February 2026, with streaming availability expected later in the year through Amazon MGM’s platforms.
Barry Keoghan Spotted Filming In Ringsend
Barry Keoghan has been spotted filming on the streets of Ringsend with a striking new look as production continues on his latest independent Irish film, Lemonade, which is set in Dublin and draws heavily on the actor’s own early life.
The 33-year-old was seen shooting scenes in the docklands area wearing pyjama bottoms and sporting long, red, curly hair as he transformed into his character Josh. The images, captured by Padraig O’Reilly, show Keoghan in a deliberately rough, stripped-back style, underlining the raw tone of the low-budget production.

Lemonade is being directed by Kim Barley and also stars Lewis Brophy, Connie Doona and Graham Earley. The film is described as a semi-autobiographical project for Keoghan, exploring the impact of drug addiction on families and communities, and is being filmed close to the areas where the actor himself grew up.
In the story, Josh’s life is shaped by “the turmoil caused by family heroin addiction”, a theme that mirrors Keoghan’s own childhood. His mother Debbie died from a heroin overdose when he was just 12, and he had no relationship with his father. When he was five, Barry and his younger brother Eric were placed in foster care, moving through 13 different homes before eventually settling into a small two-bedroom flat with their aunt and grandmother.
Speaking about his mother during a 2024 appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Keoghan described her as his “lovely, gorgeous” mum while reflecting on how addiction took hold of her. He said it “caught her”, before adding: “That kind of haunts me still, you don’t forget those things.”
Now, nearly 30 years later, the Dubliner has become one of Ireland’s biggest Hollywood exports, earning an Oscar nomination and carving out a reputation for intense, transformative performances. Lemonade marks a return to a more intimate style of filmmaking, with Keoghan once again drawing on deeply personal material.
Alongside the indie project, his Hollywood schedule remains packed. He is set to appear opposite Cillian Murphy in the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, which is due for release on 6 March. A short Netflix teaser released on Christmas Eve showed Keoghan in a white vest with tattoos running up his arms, hinting that he will play a major role in what is expected to be a new era for the franchise.
Before that, he will be seen in Crime 101, a thriller starring Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo. In the film, Keoghan plays Ormon, a rival thief to Hemsworth’s Davis, as their paths cross during a high-stakes heist. For that role, he appears with bleached-blonde hair, continuing a run of bold visual transformations.
