Rage Against The Machine “will not be touring or playing live again”, according to the band’s drummer Brad Wilk.

Wilk posted a statement on behalf of Rage Against The Machine via his own Instagram account, where he addressed the band’s cancelled dates from 2023, and if new dates would be announced.

Along with 2023, Rage Against The Machine also cancelled a UK and European Tour from 2022, after frontman Zak De La Rocha suffered an injury during a show in Chicago, and pulled out on medical grounds.

More on this here.

“Bottom of my heart”

Posting this statement via Instagram, Brad Wilk ruled out any possibility of the band returning to the touring stage.

“I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows,” Wilk began.

“So, while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again”.

Concluding this statement with an apology, Brad Wilk said, “I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”.

Wilk also included a caption with this post, “Bottom of my heart… Thank you to every person who has ever supported us”.

At the time of writing, neither have other members of Rage Against The Machine or the band itself, have posted official statements confirming their retirement of live performances.
