Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte has died at the age of 34.
Mitte's representative told the BBC: "It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte."
The US actors publicist confirmed that Mitte died in Brownsvillle, Texas, on Monday and that he took his own life.
The TV star rose to fame in his role as Walter White Jr where he starred opposite Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad.
Since his breakout role, he has appeared in series such as Switched at Birth and films including Time Share.
Mitte’s diverse career also includes modeling for Vivienne Westwood, presenting Channel 4's 2016 Paralympics coverage, and starring in music videos for Nothing But Thieves and Hollywood Undead.
Diagnosed at age three with cerebral palsy—a lifelong neurological condition affecting movement and coordination—Mitte has been a vocal advocate for disability representation in entertainment.
He actively used his platform as an actor to educate the public while serving as an ambassador for organizations such as United Cerebral Palsy, Shriners Children's, and Can Do Canines.
