New York rockers Interpol have finally escaped from their white hell, the band were caught in a snow storm for almost sixty hours.

The trio were travelling from a gig in Columbus, Ohio on Monday night (November 17th), to their next show in Toronto, Canada, when a massive blizzard hit the New York tri-state area.

While they've been trapped on their tour bus, the lads have been live tweeting the whole event using the hashtag #Winterpol.

The band cancelled their Canadian show, explaining to fans on their official website what had happened to them:

“Our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo. We haven’t moved our position on the road in over nine hours. Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel tonight’s concert at the Kool Haus. We were greatly looking forward to the show but the big bad winter has come early this year. We will be informing people of a new date as soon as we can.”

Today, guitarist Daniel Kessler gleefully revealed that they were finally off the bus and “holed up for the night while we wait for the roads to open. In a hotel and resting.”

The bad news is, they're still stranded - albeit now in Boston:

Interpol shared tweets and pictures from their tour bus showing how bad the weather conditions are.

Interpol are coming to Ireland in 2015, they're playing three Dublin shows at the Olympia Theatre, fingers crossed they don't bring the snowstorm with them.
