Kelly Osbourne made a surprise return to music after nearly 20 years away, taking to the stage at Mighty Hoopla in London’s Brockwell Park on Sunday in front of an estimated 25,000 fans.
The television personality and singer joined Scissor Sisters on stage after being invited up by frontman Jake Shears, with the unexpected appearance quickly becoming one of the standout moments of the festival.

Osbourne, 40, who first rose to fame in the early 2000s through her family’s reality series The Osbournes before releasing her own music in the pop-punk era, appeared visibly emotional as she stepped out in a bold blue dress paired with striking black high heels.
She took Shears’ hand as the pair performed together, with footage of the moment rapidly circulating on social media as fans praised her energy, stage presence and confidence after such a long absence from live music.
Osbourne’s last major period of musical activity dates back to the mid-2000s, when she released her debut album Shut Up in 2002, followed by Sleeping in the Nothing in 2005. After that, she shifted her focus toward television presenting, fashion projects and entertainment work, becoming a familiar face on shows such as Fashion Police.
While she has occasionally returned to music in guest appearances and collaborations over the years, Sunday’s performance marked her most high-profile return to the stage in almost two decades.
The appearance comes during a deeply personal period for Osbourne following the death of her father, legendary rock musician Ozzy Osbourne, earlier this year. She has spoken publicly in recent months about grief and the ongoing impact of his loss, describing it in emotional terms on social media.
In one widely shared message, she reflected on the nature of loss, writing: “Some grief doesn’t end. It changes shape. It becomes a weight you learn to carry, the ache woven it your day.”
She continued: “Making it through doesn’t mean leaving it behind. It means finding strength to live and love and keep going even with forever resting heavily on your heart…”

The post resonated with many fans who have followed the Osbourne family’s journey for more than two decades, from their early reality TV fame through to Ozzy Osbourne’s status as one of rock music’s most influential figures as the frontman of Black Sabbath and a solo artist.
At Mighty Hoopla, however, the tone was celebratory as Osbourne embraced the crowd and reunited with live performance in a high-energy pop setting. The festival, known for its inclusive atmosphere and pop-focused line-ups, has become one of London’s biggest summer events, regularly drawing tens of thousands of attendees to Brockwell Park.
Scissor Sisters, who headlined the performance segment Osbourne joined, delivered a set packed with their biggest hits, with Shears bringing Osbourne on stage for the surprise collaboration that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
Fans online described the moment as emotional and unexpected, with many noting how natural Osbourne appeared back on stage despite her long absence from performing.
In March of this year, Kelly Osbourne split from her fiancé Sid Wilson, bringing an end to a relationship that stretches back decades but only recently turned romantic.

The pair are said to have quietly called off their engagement just seven months after Wilson proposed in a highly symbolic setting — backstage at what would be Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham last July.
The moment carried particular emotional weight given Ozzy’s legacy in heavy metal and his close ties to both performers.
Earlier this year, Kelly Osbourne hit back at cruel online body-shaming, calling the abuse she has received in recent days “disgusting” as she continues to grieve the loss of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.
The 41-year-old television personality and former star of The Osbournes shared screenshots to her Instagram Stories on Monday, February 23, exposing a particularly vicious comment left under one of her recent posts.
The anonymous user wrote that she “looks like a dead body,” described her as “tooooo thin and fragile,” and added, “Looks like she’s going to see her dad soon” — a pointed and deeply personal reference to the death of her father in July 2025, aged 76.
Over the screenshot, Kelly wrote: “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!” In a follow-up Story, she added: “This too shall pass, but like, holy f—.”
The comments come amid ongoing public scrutiny over Kelly’s noticeable weight loss in recent months.
Since late 2025, fans and critics alike have remarked on her slimmer appearance in social media photos and public outings, sparking waves of speculation — some framed as concern, others far less charitable.
Her mother faced the same kind of scrutiny around her appearance.
