Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir will be released later this year.

The book which arrives posthumously on October 15, was co-written by Lisa Marie Presley and her daughter Riley Keough.

Lisa Marie had asked her daughter Riley to complete the work before she died, having left behind tapes, where she recorded parts of the autobiography.

The book which remains untitled, will also be released via Pan Macmillan, who revealed that this memoir will explore Lisa Marie Presley’s life, from growing up in the Graceland estate, to her relationship with her music legend father Elvis Presley.

It will also look back on her marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage.

“unconditional love”

In a statement, Pan Macmillan also revealed that the book will also explore the tragic death of Lisa Marie’s son Benjamin Keogh, and she dealt with this “shattering loss”.

“[Keough] listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs at Graceland, just the two of them, a sanctuary from the chaos of her life”, the statement read.

“About growing up with the clicking cameras perpetually at the door. About her own wild love stories, and her marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. About motherhood and the shattering loss of her son, Riley’s brother Benjamin Keough, to suicide”.

On this project, Riley Keough also added this.

“Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’ daughter. I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one”.

Lisa Marie Presley died on this day last year (January 12), aged 54.

Last July, a coroner ruled that she died from a “sequelae of a small bowel obstruction”. More on this from Nova here.
