Madness have announced a run of shows as part of their ‘C’est La Vie’ Tour, which includes a live show in Galway next year.

Taking place next Summer (August 10), Madness will perform their final show of the tour at Galway Airport as part of their summer sessions.

This show in Galway will follow on from a run outdoor UK shows in 2024 for Madness, who celebrate the release of their new album, ‘Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie’, which arrived earlier this month.

Overall, the tour will see Madness perform across 19 dates in the UK, kicking off on June 14 with a show in Margate next year.

Other venues include Southampton, Plymouth, Newcastle, Edinburgh and more. Their show in Belfast’s Custom House Square will precede their final show in Galway, Ireland.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (December 1). Find out how you can buy them here.

“one way and half the other”

The making of this latest Madness album, was far from plain sailing, as frontman Suggs explains.

According to Suggs, the band almost split up before this album got released, due to differences of opinions over vaccinations and Covid lockdowns, as well as creative issues, which nearly derailed the making of their new album.

“We had polarised opinions about if there should be vaccinations and lockdowns, and it ended up quite serious between us”, the singer said.

“Everything became half one way and half the other, different opinions on who was to blame”, Suggs revealed.

“The great joy of the band is that, when we get together, we become tolerant”, Suggs added. “We all come from very tough backgrounds, and tolerance has got a little lost in society”.
