Metallica have added a third and fourth set of new dates to their upcoming residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
The band have added ten new shows to their residency, which will follow the same Thursday/Saturday 'no repeat weekend' plan akin to their previously announced dates. These shows will take place on the first, third and fourth weekend of February next year, as well as the first two weekends of March 2027.
Tickets for the third round of dates went on sale yesterday, with the fourth round of dates available now.
Speaking about these dates, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich had said that they give the band a chance to reinvent themselves as they interact with fans.
“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!", co founder and drummer Lars Ulrich said. “This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way fuckin’ psyched to go next-level!”.
The Sphere's residency will also feature “live staples and surprises spanning the Metallica catalogue enhanced by the venue’s immersive technologies that will allow fans to experience the sound and fury of the band’s live performance in new experiential dimensions”, with the shows are to “present a wholly unique and entirely new Metallica experience for all who attend”.
