Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil is currently recovering in a Tennessee hospital after sustaining injuries from a fall off a concert stage during a performance on Friday evening in Pigeon Ford.
The Mötley Crüe singer was reportedly performing a solo show as part of the Monster on the Mountain rock festival when he slipped off the stage mid-performance and fell four feet onto the concrete below.
TMZ reported that “he was clearly in pain … his crew thought he had broken some ribs. His roadie and a security guy helped him get to his feet, and Vince limped away,” before being taken to a nearby ambulance and rushed to the hospital.
“The truth is Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell,” Dana Strum, bass player in Neil’s band, told the crowd. “He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically. He was so excited to be here. He lives in Tennessee. But he was willing to stick it out and tough it out when the people back here were telling him ‘Don’t do it.’ Let’s have one good round of applause, please, for this guy.”
Mötley Crüe confirmed the 60-year-old rocker’s injuries via Twitter: “Vince is back home and resting after breaking a few ribs on Friday night. Out love and best wishes for a speedy recovery and ready to rock in ’22!!”
