Neil Young has said that he is back in the studio, working with the Chrome Hearts.
The singer confirmed this news on his website, Neil Young Archives, saying that he and the band are recording a new album together.
In his post, which began with a comment on the current state of affaires in America, Young said: “I am so hurt for this country. Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore".
“I can go out and demonstrate my feelings about it,” he added, before going on to call President Donald Trump “the worst president in the history of our country".
Young then used his platform to let fans in on what he and the band have been up to recently.
“Now, thankfully, once again, I’m in the studio recording a new album with the Chrome Hearts,” he wrote. “I love the songs and the feelings of life and love. Music is. So far we have eight new songs. They make me feel".
News of this comes a month after Neil Young called off his upcoming European tour, including a date in Cork.
He cancelled the tour with the band, saying that it was "not the time" for him to be playing live. He also apologised fans as he announced that he has "decided to take a break".
“I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time", Young added. “Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time".

Last year, Neil Young released his first album with The Chrome Hearts, Talkin to the Trees.
