Netflix has made some noticeable changes to its homepage and how viewers can navigate their categories for films and TV shows.
These changes include alterations to the webpage of the streaming service, where the drop down menu for sorting through titles alphabetically and by date of release, has disappeared. It has been reported that the titles are now slightly more difficult to navigate.
This is part of a larger change to the functions, with many of these changes coming over the last few months, which has included the incorporation of AI in the search option and TikTok style short form video being added to the Netflix mobile app.
These changes have not gone down to well with viewers online, with one writing: “Also, the [recommendations algorithm] is kinda bad bcz all I see is the same set of shows and movies recommended on the home page again n again, even if I’ve already watched many of them.

Another added: “This is dumb. Netflix acts like people start the app never having heard of any movies or shows before and are desperate to be told what to watch".
