English rock band Royal Blood will stop off in Dublin as part of their new Ireland and UK tour next year.
The Brighton duo are definitely going from strength to strength and the size of their new tour venues certainly reflects a growing fan-base.
Last month, Royal Blood announced a thirteen date Ireland and UK tour for October and November. It was likely to be the last time the band would be playing intimate venues, and fans were left disappointed after tickets sold out in minutes.
The rockers will play the Academy in Dublin on Monday October 27th. After struggling to get their hands on tickets, many fans demanded that more dates to be added to the tour.
This request couldn’t be accommodated, but now the rock duo have released new tour dates for 2015. Royal Blood are set to tour Ireland and UK in February and March 2015, playing Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on Monday March 9th. They lads love playing in Dublin on Mondays, maybe they’re big Boomtown Rats fans.
Tickets for the Royal Blood tour go on sale this Friday October 17th at 9am. So if you missed out on getting tickets to the gig in the Academy, you better be up bright and early to claim the new tickets.
Royal Blood released their self titled debut album on Monday 25th august. The ten track LP may be short, clocking in at only thirty-two minutes, but it packs a heavy rock punch.
Last week, they unveiled their new music video for the track ‘Ten Tonne Skeleton’, taken from the band’s hugely successful debut LP.
Not only did their album go straight into the number 1 spot but the band also achieved the fastest-selling rock debut in three years.
The Brighton rock duo managed to shift an impressive 66,000 copies over the last week, more than any rock debut. The first-week figures make it the highest-selling rock debut since Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ self-titled release in 2011.
