After 41 shows, across 13 countries and five continents, Oasis are finally winding down after one of the most closely watched reunion tours in years — and Noel Gallagher isn’t wasting any time getting into holiday mode.
Rather than settling in for a quiet Christmas in the UK winter, the guitarist is swapping rain for white sand as he heads to the Maldives to mark the end of the blockbuster Live ’25 World Tour. The run is expected to earn him £50 million from ticket sales alone, and friends say the sun-soaked break is exactly what he needs.
A source told The Irish Sun: “Noel has loved spending time with his family on tour, but this trip will allow him to fully recharge.” They added: “He has put everything into making the Oasis reunion a success and is now looking forward to pressing pause over Christmas.”
Noel wasn’t alone on the road. His girlfriend Sally Mash joined him throughout the global dates, as did his daughter Anais and her actor boyfriend Callum Scott Howells. His teenage sons Sonny and Donovan, from his marriage to Sara MacDonald, were also spotted backstage at several of the shows, making the tour a family affair from start to finish.
With the final dates wrapped, Noel is already thinking ahead. Insiders say he has begun sketching out ideas for new music. As one put it: “Noel is enjoying getting back into the studio after the whirlwind of the tour.”
Meanwhile, speculation around the next phase of the Oasis reunion continues to boil. Earlier this week, Liam Gallagher sent fans into meltdown with a cryptic post on X titled: “Big announcement imminent”.
The tease has intensified whispers of possible new shows, including potential dates at Knebworth House and the Etihad Stadium, both symbolic venues for the band and their Manchester roots. Fans have been watching both brothers closely as excitement builds around what the next chapter of the reunion might look like.
For now, though, Noel appears ready to trade soundchecks for sunsets — at least temporarily. And with both Gallaghers dropping hints and stirring anticipation, many fans are hopeful that once the festive break is over, more tour news might land sooner rather than later.
If the rumour mill is right, supporters could even find themselves unwrapping fresh Oasis dates in their Christmas stockings this year.
