Who knew there were so many celebrity Swifties! A listers such as Paul McCartney and Jon Bon Jovi were spotted at Taylor Swift’s London shows last weekend.
The 34-year-old American pop star has sold out eight shows at London’s Wembley Stadium as part of her ‘Eras Tour’. Each night will see about 90,000 fans in attendance, bringing the total audience after the eight nights to a staggering 720,000 people.
The tour didn’t just attract famous music stars, but also the attention of Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer as well as the Prince of Wales! Prince William attended the opening Friday night, on his 42nd birthday, with his two eldest children, who got to take selfies with the pop sensation herself. The royal was also caught dancing along to the singer’s hit song “Shake It Off” in a video released to social media.
Film and TV stars also flocked to the Wembley shows; including ‘Mission Impossible’s Tom Cruise, ‘Barbie’ director Greta Gerwig, Irish ‘Bridgerton’ star Nicola Coughlan and famous Hollywood couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.
Love Actually star, Hugh Grant was also in attendance with his wife, and tweeted about his “incredible” experience in the venues VIP Box.
Swift responded to the actor on Twitter, thanking him for his praise and identifying herself as a “long time Hugh Grant stan,”
Commenters expressed praise and gratitude for Grant’s appearance, with one fan commenting “My wife gave you a friendship bracelet and I received a text saying how thrilled she was and how very charming you were so thank you for giving her that memory. I am now fully expecting Hugh Grant movie marathons this week at her request.”
The singer performed three shows last weekend and will return to Wembley on the 15th of August to perform a further five sold-out shows.
Swift is set to perform in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium this weekend for three sold-out nights!
