Sir Bob Geldof says he’s “really excited” to become the first Irishman to go into space.
The Boomtown Rats frontman is due to become one of the first astronauts with the commercial operator “Space XC” next year.
Apparently he’s been desperate to experience space, and narrowly missed the chance to travel with Russian cosmonauts.
Speaking to Peter Devlin on Nova recently, Bob says is getting the Rats back together for two Dublin gigs in Vicar street on the 12th and 13th of October
