Bruce Springsteen made a very special guest appearance on May 29th for a live stream show by the Dropkick Murphys.

The Boss appeared remotely last Friday for the “Straight Outta Fenway” livestream. The Boston upstarts were joined by the New Jersey rocker remotely during the free online event.

Frontman Ken Casey welcomed Springsteen who appeared from his home studio in NJ via the ballpark’s big screen where they performed before an empty Fenway Park in their hometown.

The rockers launched into their 2013 collaboration, “Rose Tattoo”, before blasting a version of Springsteen’s 206 track, “American Land.”

According to Antimusic, the event saw the punk rockers to become the first band to play a full show in an empty sports stadium, and, the first outfit “to play right on the dirt and grass of the infield diamond” at the Boston landmark.

The band’s show “‘Streaming Outta Fenway’ is raising funds for three charities: the Boston Resiliency Fund, Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston and Feeding America.
