Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge has hinted that the band’s new comeback album is their “best” one yet.

Back in May, the original bandmembers including Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker reunited with DeLonge for a World Tour. They also released their first single with the original members since 2011, ‘EDGING’.

The band were forced to postpone their shows in Mexico and South America after Travis Barker sustained a finger injury.

“probably our best album we’ve ever made” – DeLonge

In an interview promoting his limited edition Stratocaster guitar, Tom DeLonge has said that the band’s comeback album is “probably our best album we’ve ever made”, as they have been on a “nostalgia” trip.

“The production that we brought on this tour is finally the first perfect, cohesive branding and symbol of everything that the band is about. It’s got the nostalgia in there and the history in there, but it’s also got the fun and reverence and childhood charm. And it’s got the rebellion, but it’s got the technology too”, DeLonge said on the band’s reunion tour.

The frontman also added, “So it’s this really cool rebirth of everything – or the best of everything that we’ve done, but done the way people always wished we would have done it! [They’re] like, ‘Right, you guys aren’t half bad now!’ You know? ‘Thank you!”.

Blink-182 had announced plans for a World Tour last year.

Back in October, Mark Hoppus who was given the all-clear from cancer, has described keeping news of the band’s reunion with DeLonge was a “burden”. More here.

Apparently Tom DeLonge was reportedly keen to take Muse’s Matt Bellamy for a spot of alien hunting. As you do! More on this from Nova here.
