Yorkshire rockers The Cribs supported the Foo Fighters at their Manchester Etihad Stadium show earlier this week, and Dave Grohl trolled the punk rock trio over who ‘ripped off Freddie Mercury best.’ You can watch the footage below…

Halfway through Foo Fighters’ set, the band covered Queen‘s ‘Under Pressure’ with drummer Taylor Hawkins leading the crowd in a call and response warm-up. The Foo’s, as well as The Cribs, have paid a live tribute to the song before.

Speaking to the audience Grohl said, ‘Here’s the thing. The Cribs might have done that, but they didn’t do it in a bathing suit, and that’s all that fu**ing matters.’ Any motherf**ker who has the nuts to come up here and do fucking Queen’s vocal warm-up from Live Aid wins the fu**ing trophy. That’s the way I see it. That shit’s solid gold.’ Here’s the clip…

The Cribs were delighted to get Trolled by Grohl and Co, ‘Getting trolled by Dave G about who ripped off Freddie best!” they captioned the post. “Classic! Seriously though, nicest guys in rock @foofighters.’
