Guns N’ Roses reunited for the first time in 23 years at a gig in Los Angeles last Friday. Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan teamed up as they were joined by guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboradist Dizzy Reed and drummer Frank Ferrer.

Guns N’ Roses performed a 17-song set at LA’s Troubadour on Friday (April 1st). Some of the songs they performed included the likes of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, ‘Sweet Child O Mine’ and ‘Paradise City’.

At the gig in L.A. they also performed a rendition of Bob Dylan’s ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’, Wings’ ‘Live And Let Die’ and The Who’s ‘The Seeker’, as well as songs from the band’s 2008 album Chinese Democracy.

Melissa Reese, the band’s second keyboardist, performed with the group on Friday night, marking her the first-ever female member of Guns N’ Roses.

The gig was advertised as “Not in this lifetime” by the venue, which was a quote from Axl Rose about their reunion back in 2012. The quote will also serve as the name for their upcoming reunion tour this summer.

There was only around 500 people at the show in the Troubadour, which served as a warm up gig for their two massive shows in Las Vegas this weekend.
