Today will see the first of two live concerts taking place this month in honour of the late Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins. Hawkins died tragically back in March. He was 50 years old.

Taking place at London’s Wembley Stadium today, the show will see Liam Gallagher, Chrissie Hynde, Josh Homme, Mark Ronson taking to the stage, alongside Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor and others.

Since then, other acts were also added to the line up for the show in Wembley. Such acts include Travis Barker, Lars Ulrich and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson performing at the venue.

Speaking ahead of the show, Brian Johnson stated that he was “honoured” to perform at a show in honour of the late Taylor Hawkins. He described the Foo Fighters drummer as a “lovely man”.

Johnson said, “Taylor was a lovely man, his smile was legend, his drumming intense and brilliant, and he could sing as well. When we gather to salute this man and his family, we do it as friends, we do it for him, and we do it with his band the Foo Fighters, who I know will do him proud. I’m honored to be part of it”.
