Noel Gallagher has recently spoken about the possibility of an Oasis reunion but was cautiously optimistic. Noel made it clear though that he would only reunite with the band for an incredibly large sum of money.
During a recent interview with Radio X, Noel spoke about not feeling sympathy for those fans that never got to see Oasis live. Gallagher said “We were together for 20 years, if you didn’t see us, tough…I didn’t get to see the Sex Pistols.”
When asked about the possibility of an Oasis reunion Noel Gallagher said “Probably not in the very near future,” adding that “one should never say never though, when someone’s waving a cheque for a quarter of a billion…”
Noel was fairly blunt when asked about his opinion on it saying “I’m sure there are countless, thousands of people who would love it, but there’s one that wouldn’t……me.”
The last time the band played together was back in 2009 on the Dig Out Your Soul tour. Noel Gallagher said of the tour “The second lot of gigs we [Oasis] did at Wembley were infinitely better. As a live band, we got better – as the songs got worse.”
