Paul McCartney Confirms New Cover Album With St Vincent And Others

Paul McCartney has annouced a new album “IIImagined” featuring covers with the likes of John Homme, Beck and St Vincent amongst others.  The Beatles star, had hinted that such an annoucement was on the horizon.

McCartney posted a very cryptic video on Instagram.

In this video, a handful of dice are rolled into different positions.  In addition to the number three, a list of names of artists included on the record also feature.

The album will be available from April 16.

Another artist, Dominic Fike launched this new record with a cover of “The Kiss of Venus”, featuring McCartney.

Damon Albarn is also featuring on this new record with a new remix of the track “Long Tailed Winter Bird”. St Vincent will also collaborate with McCartney to cover “Women and Wives”.

Phoebe Bridgers will also cover the track “Seize the Day”on McCartney’s new cover album.

This comes after Paul had also released a solo album last December “McCartney III”.

Other news this week

As well as the McCartney album, Pink Floyd also confirmed the release of “Live At Knebworth” as a live album.

“There is something special about Knebworth”, PF’s drummer Nick Mason said.

He added, “We all still have fond memories of playing there in the 70’s, and this show was no different”.
