The fatal collision occurred at approximately 11:50pm on the N11 Bray Road in the Loughlinstown area. Emergency services attended the scene shortly after the incident was reported.
The pedestrian, who was aged in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has since been removed for a post-mortem examination.
The section of road remains closed this morning to allow Garda forensic collision investigators to carry out a full technical examination of the area. Local traffic diversions have been put in place, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area where possible.
Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who were travelling on the N11 Bray Road around the time of the collision, particularly those with dashcam footage, are being urged to contact investigators.

The woman was one of three people who lost their lives on Irish roads yesterday, bringing renewed attention to road safety concerns across the country. Her death brings the number of fatalities on Irish roads so far this year to 62.
