John Lennon’s entire solo discography is now available to stream on Spotify, eight studio albums and three compilation records are free to listen to.

The addition of the Lennon albums, marks a change in the availability of the fab four’s solo work. Recently, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr’s solo efforts were put up on Spotify.

McCartney also reissued five of his classic albums as iPad apps, the chosen five records were a mix of solo efforts and recordings with Wings.

Although, this shift hasn’t yet resulted in any of the actual Beatles’ material from 1960 -1970 being made accessible. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Oasis all have their music online, but the Beatles remain one of the few bands left that have not made their music available to stream on any platform.

All of the Lennon albums released between 1970 and 1984 are now available on the music streaming service, including 1970’s John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, 1971’s Imagine and 1973’s Mind Games.

The only missing recordings are Lennon’s experimental collaborations in the late sixties with Yoko Ono. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to listen to 1968’s Unfinished Music No.1: Two Virgins, that featured the controversial LP cover of Lennon and Ono naked, you won’t hear 1969’s Unfinished Music No.2: Life with the Lions and Wedding Album from the same year.
