The ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’ musical – the brainchild of Bono and The Edge – is leaving Broadway due to poor ticket sales.
The €50 million musical, which is the most expensive theatre production in history, has been plagued by problems since its inception three years ago, including injured cast members and problems with the director and storyline.
Now, producers are pulling the plug after deciding the show isn’t pulling in the numbers.
However, there is some line on the horizon for Bono and Edge: it’s hoped ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark’ can reopen in the City of Blinding Lights: Las Vegas in a couple of years.
