For the first time in a decade, HMV will open a store in Dublin.

Opening its doors on June 30, the store will be open from 9am to 7pm from Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm on Thursday, as well as 11am to 7pm on Sunday.

Over 3,000 products will be available at this HMV store, including franchises such as Pokémon, Stranger Things, Marvel, Star Wars, and DC.

There will also be 10,000 vinyl albums, and CDs available in the store, along with a huge range of music technology products.

Elsewhere, the first 150 customers to purchase a product in the store, will also receive a free opening day goodie bag, full of Funko or Kenji products.

“welcome fans back”

Speaking ahead of its grand reopening in Dublin, HMV managing director Phil Halliday has spoken of his excitement about bringing the store back to the Irish capital.

“HMV has a rich history in Dublin, and we’re hugely excited it is the first destination for our overseas expansion. We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome fans back”, Halliday said.

“Our customers will notice our dedication to becoming the best music destination in town , but will also find we’ve expanded our offering to a host of must-have ranges they won’t find anywhere else under one roof”.

Opening on Dublin’s Henry Street, HMV will be hopeful of drawing signings and performances from both established artists, as well as grassroots and international musicians alike.

Fans are also encouraged to keep an eye out for the HMV Instagram account, with four exciting events expected to be announced as part of the HMV Live and Local Programme.

News regarding HMV’s reopening in Dublin was confirmed back in May, with the retailer seemingly taking advantage of the recent revival in Vinyl records. More on this here.
