Last night, the Rolling Stones performed tracks from their new album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ at a secret performance in New York with Lady Gaga joining the band on stage to perform their single “Sweet Sounds of Heaven”.

The show, which took place at Racket NYC (formerly Highline Ballroom), saw the band perform in front of reportedly 650 people, an audience which included stars such as Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, along with 007 star Daniel Craig and wife & actress Rachel Weisz.

On the night, The Rolling Stones treated the crowd to tracks from their new album, including ‘Angry’, ‘Bite My Head Off, ‘Whole Wide World’, and ‘Sweet Sound Of Heaven’ along with some classic tracks such as ‘Jumpin Jack Flash’, and, ‘Tumbling Dice’.

Ronnie Woods On “Explosive” Rolling Stones Tracks

Ahead of today’s release of ‘Hackney Diamonds’, Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood spoke about the album’s “explosive” new tracks.

‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven’ sees the Rolling Stones collaborate with Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.

Lady Gaga even joined the band on stage last night.

On this collaboration, Ronnie Wood said this,  “She was just sitting on the floor, singing along with Mick. A rough vocal, you know”.

“And Mick said: ‘That sounds pretty good. Do

Adding, “you wanna make a go of it?’ She said, ‘Yeah.’ ‘Well, come on then – stand up and let’s go and work it out together!’ To see it all take shape was very rewarding”.

Coming up at 6pm this evening, Pat Courtenay will be celebrating 61 years of the Rolling Stones, and talking about this new album.
